1995 to Present:

Graphic Designer/Art & Photo Director (Self-Employed)

Nashville, TN/Austin, TX


  • Launched freelance business in 1995 (Fudge Creative) in Nashville, Tennessee, specializing in graphic design and art/photo management with a wide range of clientele in record & music, health, sports, and book publishing industries. 


  • Created book jacket covers & interiors, CD & DVD packaging, vocal and piano songbooks, choral music product, ADS, catalogues and brochures, web banners and more for print and web. Managed and oversaw photography and design while hiring outside creatives for various projects.


  • Strong conceptual skills in design and typography, with a sharp eye and visual sense for choosing photos, designs and colors. Advanced in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) with skills in graphic design, post-production photo editing, color correction, and formatting images for both print and web.  


  • Additional experience includes photo research, acquiring/purchasing stock images and art. Preparing printer and web ready files, creating social media content and digital banners, and overseeing film and printing stages of multiple projects within budgets and timeframes.



1990 - 1995:

Art Manager, Creative Services (Word Records & Music)

Irving, TX/Nashville, TN


  • Began as an Art Assistant in Creative Services in 1990 for both the Records and Print Music divisions at Word Records & Music in Irving, Texas (then owned by ABC), until transferring to the Nashville office in 1992 in the role of Art Manager for both DAYSPRING and WORD labels and later for the Print Music division, WORD MUSIC. The company was later purchased by Warner Music Group and relabeled Word Entertainment. 


  • During my tenure as Art Assistant, I was responsible for issuing POs for POP displays, artist's posters and advertising materials along with being a liaison between the company and Sony Music New York coordinating record packaging art and film for special distribution.


  • During my role as Art Manager, I coordinated and directed photo shoots and managed the design process for record & music packaging — outsourcing creative professionals from photographers, stylists, makeup artists, designers, film houses and printers nationwide.


  • Helped establish the beginning stages of in-house design into Creative Services department for both Records and Print Music divisions. Liaison between in-house editorial, A&R, marketing and creative departments, while also maintaining on-going relationships with artists and outside vendors.
